I've just seen this topic on the TSSC forum. basically it's an e'petition to reinstate the rolling tax exemption for classic vehicles as it was originally intended.
 I think the rule is any petition that reaches 100,000 signatures has to be debated in the house.

Up to press there are 7 of us going to Stafford for the International Family Weekend this coming weekend. Some of us will be setting off in convoy at around 10am on Friday morning to arrive when the gates open. Unless the show layout has changed we will set up 'camp Lancashire' in the usual place which, as you go through the gates is the far left hand corner of the showground.

Kevin has managed to get hold of a Coleman Event Shelter, its the basic shelter which is a decent size and will stop the rain watering down my vodka. However we are still in need of side panels and a door panel. These seem to be sold out everywhere. So if anyone has any suggestions as to where we can get them, please email and let us know. The Family weekend takes place at Stafford County Showground, 19 - 21 August, bookings being taken online at http://www.tssc-international.co.uk/ or pay on arrival. Last year was a cracking weekend, and this year is sure to be just as good. I believe the fancy dress theme for the Saturday night is the 1980's....watch out for photos...

Short version of Kevs area news as seen in The Courier -
Dales run at Dent, attended by 8 members, 5 cars. 4 people braved the weather and camped the others chose the B&B option. The weather was kind for the run around the Lakes. Evening entertainment on the Saturday night with a guest appearance from Kev 'the numbers' Ollerton aka Tin Foil Tie wraps, as bingo caller!
The following weekend lots of us were out and about - Stu & Lisa, Mark & Cat, Simon & Claire attended the Peak Run weekend...hm...

Well....an eventful weekend was had by all who attended - Lisa and Stuart ventured out in their MGB Roadster, Simon and Claire took the Stag - the roof now fits - and Mark and Cath (excuse me if its spelt wrong) took the shiny Spit. All was going well on Saturday morning until the MG started burning oil, but we soildered on and had a really enjoyable day in Matlock Bath, visiting the aquarium and having a wander about before having fish and chips for lunch.
